Matt Bray has operated as a professional musician and producer since 1995, amassing over 3,300 live performances, including those at the top levels of the Australian music industry; composing for the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, recording with DJ Carl Cox, and writing/touring with platinum selling outfits such as 28-Days. With drums as the primary instrument, Matt has developed an innate understanding of timing, performance and digital technologies; culminating in the completion of PhD study in 2024 from which Telemidi was born. During this time Matt also wrote courses and lectured music, audio production and entertainment management across ten Australian universities. This academic journey developed an understanding of operations and leadership within educational institutions, alongside the capacity to transfer knowledge, and inspire the next generation of artists and creative thinkers.
Matt is deeply motivated by the ancient art form that is music, committing his energies to explore the frontiers of digital technology and how this enhances how humans compose, create, distribute and consume their music. Telemidi is a platform that enables the social cohesion of music to transcend geography, and wholly immerse each global citizen within a vibrant network of cooperation, co-creation and collaboration.
